Scholarships
The College of Health and Social Services offers a large number of scholarships for qualifying students. Our generous donors make it possible for you to achieve your academic goals and fulfill your dreams as health science, social work, or nursing professionals in life-affirming, rewarding careers.
NMSU has made the scholarship application process easy! Just visit the Scholar Dollar$ website, fill out an online scholarship application, and submit it.

Timeline for 2012-2013 Scholarships:
- October 2011 – Scholar Dollar$ 2012-2013 application window opens.
- January 2012 – Be sure to update your FAFSA information.
- Midnight, March 1, 2012 – Scholar Dollar$ 2012-2013 application window closes. All applications must be submitted by this time.
- TBA – CHSS scholarship selection committees review the applications in conjunction with the Dean’s Office.
- TBA – Scholarship recipients are notified of their scholarship awards. Recipients must bring a letter or card to Bob Nosbisch in the Dean’s Office, Room 310, thanking the donor for the scholarship before the money will be posted to the student’s account.
- September 2012 – A scholarship reception will be held to honor the student recipients and scholarship donors.
